In the pursuit of high efficiency, energy saving and highly integrated today, the power management of electronic devices has become a key part of the design. Today, we are introducing a disruptive product - ET3138 Advanced load management switch. Designed for applications that require current-controlled DC power rail (<5.5V) power loads in a tightly turned off state, the switch provides a new solution for power management in a wide range of consumer, optical, medical, storage, portable and industrial devices with its superior performance and high degree of integration.

一、產(chǎn)品概述
ET3138不僅集成了低阻抗MOSFET開關(guān)(典型值為40mΩ),還配備了其他先進(jìn)的模擬功能,如斜率控制等。這種斜率控制的開啟特性能夠有效防止浪涌電流的產(chǎn)生,從而避免電源軌上出現(xiàn)過度的電壓下降。這一創(chuàng)新設(shè)計(jì)使得ET3138在保障系統(tǒng)穩(wěn)定運(yùn)行的同時(shí),還能顯著提升能效。
The ET3138 not only integrates a low-impedance MOSFET switch (typical value 40mΩ), but also comes with other advanced analog features such as slope control. This slope controlled on feature effectively prevents the generation of inrush current, thus avoiding excessive voltage drop on the power rail. This innovative design enables the ET3138 to significantly improve energy efficiency while maintaining system stability.

二、核心特性與優(yōu)勢(shì)
1. 寬輸入電壓范圍與低阻抗設(shè)計(jì)
ET3138的輸入電壓范圍廣泛,從1.2V到5.5V DC,滿足了多種應(yīng)用場(chǎng)景的需求。其低阻抗MOSFET開關(guān)在不同輸入電壓下的典型RDS(ON)值分別為:在VIN=5.5V時(shí)為40mΩ,VIN=3.3V時(shí)為50mΩ,VIN=1.8V時(shí)為90mΩ,VIN=1.2V時(shí)為180mΩ。這種低阻抗設(shè)計(jì)有助于減少功耗,提高系統(tǒng)的整體效率。
The ET3138 has a wide range of input voltages, from 1.2V to 5.5V DC, to meet the needs of a variety of application scenarios. The typical RDS(ON) values of the low-impedance MOSFET switch at different input voltages are 40mΩ at VIN=5.5V, 50mΩ at VIN=3.3V, 90mΩ at VIN=1.8V, and 180mΩ at VIN=1.2V. This low-impedance design helps to reduce power consumption and improve the overall efficiency of the system.

2. 斜率控制與浪涌電流抑制
ET3138配備了斜率控制功能,通過精確控制開關(guān)的開啟速度,有效抑制了浪涌電流的產(chǎn)生。斜率控制參數(shù)tR的典型值為60微秒,這意味著在開關(guān)開啟過程中,電流將平穩(wěn)上升,避免了因瞬間大電流沖擊而導(dǎo)致的電壓下降和系統(tǒng)不穩(wěn)定。
The ET3138 is equipped with slope control, which effectively inhibits the generation of inrush current by precisely controlling the opening speed of the switch. The typical value of the slope control parameter tR is 60 microseconds, which means that during the switch on process, the current will rise smoothly, avoiding the voltage drop and system instability caused by the instantaneous large current shock.

3. 低關(guān)斷狀態(tài)電流消耗
ET3138在關(guān)斷狀態(tài)下的電流消耗極低,最大值僅為1微安。這一特性使得它非常適合于低功耗待機(jī)應(yīng)用,如智能手機(jī)、平板電腦等設(shè)備的休眠模式。在這些應(yīng)用中,低功耗待機(jī)是延長(zhǎng)電池續(xù)航能力的關(guān)鍵因素之一。
The ET3138 has a very low current consumption in the off state, with a maximum of only 1 microamp. This feature makes it ideal for low-power standby applications, such as sleep modes for devices such as smartphones and tablets. In these applications, low-power standby is one of the key factors in extending battery life.

The ET3138's logical CMOS input/output interface is JESD76 compliant and can be directly connected to the low voltage control signal /GPIO interface without the need for an external pull-down resistor. This design simplifies the circuit layout, reduces the system cost, and improves the reliability and stability of the system.

The ET3138 offers excellent electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection with HBM (human body model) and CDM (Charging device model) ESD protection ratings exceeding 8kV and 2kV, respectively. This feature ensures that the switch can still work normally in the harsh electrostatic environment, and improves the anti-interference ability and reliability of the system.
